For the homeless, the helpless and those who have no hope both in our community 
and around the world ...

That our generosity will extend to our family, our neighbors, our Church, and to 
all who call upon us for help ...

For courage and trust in times of uncertainty and fear ...

That the seamless garment of life will enfold us with respect and care for life 
in all of its forms ...

For police officers, firefighters and all emergency workers as they serve and 
protect us ...

That a just and lasting peace will overcome bigotry, national pride and 
senseless wars ...

For doctors and nurses, for counselors and ministers, for rescue workers, and 
for public officials as they cope with wounds and scars of disasters in our 
midst ...

For all victims of abuse, addiction, and violence, may our society seek for them 
abundant help and offer them loving care and understanding ...
