As the Church celebrates the Year for Priests
June 19, 2009 through June 19, 2010

God in three persons here among us:
          Merciful Father,
          Savior Jesus Christ,
          Holy Spirit of their love,
We praise, glorify, and thank you
for gracing your Church with priests.

You are present to us in their ministry
          –of your divine word
          –of your Body and Blood
          –of your eternal presence

As you continue to bless and sustain them,
may we also support them in prayer.
As they make you known in word and sacrament,
help us be a sign of your caring presence to them.

Hear us as we pray, Most Holy Trinity,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
forever and ever. Amen.

I join with the angels and all the saints,
praising you, One God in three persons,
Most Holy Trinity.

Holy are you, Almighty Father!
You named me and chose me
for your own, to serve your people.

Holy are you, Lord Jesus Christ!
You called me to follow you,
to offer the sacrifice of your Body and Blood.

Holy are you, Holy Spirit!
You anointed me in baptism and ordination,
so Christ might be known in the world.

Holy! Holy! Holy!
Continue to be present to me, I pray,
and through me, be present to your Church;
Bring us all to live with you in eternity,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
